Background

Childhood

Born in 2001, Cole Lindsey lived and grew up with his parents and 3 siblings in beautiful Rileyville Virginia. At a young age, Cole discovered his passion for visual and performing art through the music and art classes in elementary school. Even at the age of 7, Cole was performing in front of audiences and competing in music competitions with others. At the age of 8, Cole was part of a steel drum group entitled "Patsy's Pans", a group in honor of the late Patsy Weakly. Cole also performed with the Cardinals Choir and was a soloist at the 2011 Music in the Parks vocal performance competition in Williamsburg Virginia.

Collegiate Studies

In 2019, Cole was accepted into James Madison University as a vocal music education major. During his time in collegiate studies, Cole was involved in a handful of clubs and organizations, including:

 

President of the National Art Education Association (NAEA) at James Madison University (2022 and 2023)
- Vice President of Madison Recycling at James Madison University (2021, 2022, 2023)
- Vice president of Service of Sigma Tau Iota, Color Guard service organization (2020, 2021, and 2022)
- Member of The Eta Omicron chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, a National honorary service and leadership organization (2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023)

Teen Years

In middle and high school (grades 6 through 12), Cole practiced his studies in music and art, advancing through the years. Cole auditioned and was accepted to be a participant in The Virginia All State Choir collective in 2018 and 2019. Cole was also a four year active participant in Concert band, Concert choir, Select choir, and Colorguard at Luray High School. During his time at Luray High School, Cole founded the first Gender-Sexualities Alliance (GSA club) for Luray High School, celebrating diversity and equality among the teachers and student body. 

Present 

Currently, Cole continues his art and design practices in Harrisonburg Virginia, with plan to create more meaningful and long-term connections to his style in the arts.
